🇵🇱 Biografia: Aureliusz Zenon Dembiński urodził się 27 listopada 1928 r. w Poznaniu. Był inżynierem mechanikiem, żołnierzem Armii Krajowej i powstańcem warszawskim, pseudonim „Zagłoba”. Trafił do niemieckich stalagów Lamsdorf i Memmingen, gdzie jako szesnastolatek wykonał słynną bombkę z białoczerwoną bibułą i orzełkiem; pamiątka ta zainspirowała radiowe słuchowisko „Bombka z Memmingen”. Po wojnie ukończył Technical College w Anglii, a przez 35 lat był menedżerem w firmie produkującej oprzyrządowanie dla Forda. Zmarł w 2024 r., pozostawiając rodzinę i bogate świadectwo poświęcenia dla wolnej Polski.
🇬🇧 Biopic: Aureliusz Zenon Dembiński was born on 27 November 1928 in Poznań. He trained as a mechanical engineer, served in the Home Army, and fought in the Warsaw Uprising under the pseudonym “Zagłoba.” As a sixteen-year-old prisoner in the Lamsdorf and Memmingen stalags, he crafted the renowned bauble decorated with white-and-red crepe paper and an eagle insignia, which inspired the radio drama “Bombka z Memmingen.” After the war he graduated from a Technical College in England and spent 35 years as a manager in a Ford tooling company. He passed away in 2024, leaving behind a family and a legacy of devotion to Poland’s freedom.
