Potatoes and flour were always available, and thanks to my mum’s connections with farmers, there was never a shortage of bacon and other cured meats. That’s why Kujawy gnocchi were so easy to make, and their natural chewiness and distinctive flavour made them one of my favourite childhood dishes… well, maybe apart from roast duck and stuffed cabbage rolls. | ||
