  * what attracts online visitors to collections, 
  * how to design the structure of your own online collection to be both appealing and indexable by Google.

Inny ciekawy pomysł do wykorzystania to crowdsourcing wolontariuszy. Na sesji [[https://museumnext.mn.co/posts/digital-collections-summit-2024-documentation-detectives|Documentation Detectives]] Alex Pinfold z Birmingham Museums Trust mówił jak wykorzystał platformę [[https://www.zooniverse.org|zooniverse.org]] do przyciągnięcia ponad ''1000 wolontariuszy'' do interpretacji dokumentów z archiwum w swoim projekcie.

Another interesting idea to consider is crowdsourcing volunteers. Nie ma co się martwić własnym spóźnieniem, bo większość sesji jest nagrywana i będzie dostępna on-demand. Bilety zaczynają się od 120 funciaków, ale my wolontariusze mamy za darmo. Zaproszenie na darmówkę jest na dole maila od Volunteering Team z 30.09.2024

Mamy wśród nas samych wspaniały przykład kolekcji – nasza koleżanka [[authors:start#elzbieta-smolenska|Elżbieta Smoleńska]] tworzy i utrzymuje od lat własną kolekcję, będąc jej autorką i kuratorką jednocześnie.

Ta konferencja poszerza to doświadczenie o przykłady archiwów, które trafiły do internetu i które zaindeksował Google. Słyszałem wiele głosów dzisiaj, które mówiły, że to się nie tylko opłaca muzeom, ale – li tylko ze względu, że homo sapiens sapiens jest bardzo nostalgiczny – to wszelakie zbiory, które są przeszukiwalne za pomocą przeglądarki internetowej oraz zorientowane na lokalne społeczności, wcześniej czy później skazane będą na sukces.

No need to stress if you’re running late, since most of the sessions are being recorded and will be available on-demand. Tickets start at 120 quid, but us volunteers get in for free. The invite for the freebie is at the bottom of the email from the Volunteering Team dated 30/09/2024.

We’ve got a brilliant example of a collection right amongst us – our colleague [[authors:start#elzbieta-smolenska|Elżbieta Smoleńska]] has been creating and maintaining her own collection for years, serving as both its author and curator.

This conference really builds on that experience with examples of archives that have gone online and been indexed by Google. I’ve heard many voices today saying it’s not only profitable for museums, but – given that us humans are incredibly nostalgic – any collections that can be searched via a browser and are geared towards local communities are bound to succeed sooner or later.
